What we do
Educating schools:
We spend time in our local schools to educate the children (and potential future sustainability managers) on the fundamentals of sustainability and the benefits that come with living sustainably.
NuGreen Coffee Cups:
We provide staff with reusable thermos coffee cups to use both at work and at home. We also recycle our coffee pods!
Recycling:
The only waste stream available to us at our leased office is domestic waste. As one of the NuGreen principals is to increase the amount of recycled materials, we thought this cannot do. We purchased our own paper & cardboard, plastic, and glass & metal recycling. Once full, we record the weights and take them to our local recycling point. The slight inconvenience of finding a solution to not having kerb side collection is a testament to our sustainability mission.
Local and Seasonal Lunches:
We often eat local for lunch when we are in the office. Our local independent bakery makes the most enormous and delicious baps and will often have a seasonal soup of the day.
Hybrid Working:
Our team are all hybrid workers, and we encourage them to use virtual meeting technology to reduce in person meetings. Through this, we reduce our business travel from reduced commuting and face to face meetings. Another perk is less money spent on fuel.
