B Corp Certification
B Corps are committed to using business as a force for good. We wanted to become a B Corp, as our mission and values unequivocally align with theirs. We strongly believe in collaborating, within local networks, to build sustainable growth for all stakeholders.
Along with our mission and values, we see the B Corp Impact Assessment as the most comprehensive and over-arching sustainability currently available. There are many standards for environmental impact, which is important, but there are not any others that cover all the UN Sustainable Development Goals so comprehensively. We did not want an assessment to give us a green sticker for just turning the lights off when we are out of the room, we wanted to evaluate exactly how sustainable and responsible our organisation is, as well as identify areas in which we can improve. As a B Corp, we are counted among businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership & Cumbria Action for Sustainability
CAfS’ vision is a zero carbon Cumbria which is socially, environmentally, and economically beneficial for all.
We aim to achieve this by promoting and facilitating low carbon living and its benefits – inspiring and supporting individuals, communities, and organisations across Cumbria and beyond to decarbonise lives and businesses by 2037 or sooner. Cumbria's climate change and sustainability charity
Climate action across Cumbria is led by a ground-breaking partnership of community organisations, businesses and the public sector. The aim of the Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership (ZCCP) is to deliver a net zero carbon Cumbria by 2037 in a way which benefits local communities.Zero Carbon Cumbria - Carbon reduction action across the county.
NuGreen have partnered with CAfS and the ZCCP to help decarbonise and achieve true sustainability for our local communities. The values of CAfS and the ZCCP align with our own, especially with building strong and collaborative local networks to help achieve a sustainable future.
Westmorland and Furness Green Enterprise Hub
In September we started a research project with Lancaster University and Westmorland and Furness Green Enterprise Hub, facilitated by Cumbria Action for Sustainability, to develop a behavioural science framework designed to pinpoint interventions for sustainable change within healthcare.
We are incredibly happy to announce the project has finished with enormous success! A special thank you and congratulations to Emily Adams for all her amazing research and work completing the project. We cannot wait to put the framework into action and share all the cost and carbon savings that come along with it.
qpeople training
qpeople transform organisations by unlocking people’s potential with targeted learning and development programmes. With sustainability and ESG being a prevailing consideration on employees’ minds now more than ever, qpeople engaged with us to help them have a deeper understanding on the fundamentals of sustainability. We completed a compact training session with them, covering sustainability topics from carbon emissions to putting value in resource.
“qpeople were keen to participate in the insightful sustainability training session delivered by NuGreen. The session provided our team with a clear understanding of the fundamental concepts of sustainability, from carbon emissions to resource efficiency. The compact format made it easy to absorb the information, and we’re excited to apply these learnings to our daily work. Thank you, NuGreen, for helping us to contribute to a more sustainable future for our company and for our clients.”
QMedical Technologies Supplier Roadmap

Q Medical know the best possible care is one that is sustainable too, and that is why they approached us to help them further align with the Evergreen Supplier Assessment and the requirements from the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap. We collaborated with them to record their Scope 1,2 and 3 carbon emissions and begin their carbon reduction plan.
